Chinese New Year VERSUS Valentine's Day?

A cycle of 50 years has come to 2010... The first day of Chinese New year is happening to be on the same day with Valentine's Day... For single people like me, we will feel very happy for this year's Valentine's Day cause all the Chinese couples around the world might have no time for their partners or having difficulties of how to manage their time equally for their family members and their boyfriends or girlfriends.. "So Sad! HAHAHA!" So mean.. But if Valentine's Day is occurring on another day, it reminds us that we are all alone.. So, the people in a relationship: think about us too! According to the News, there are only 49 couples getting married today but usually there will be hundreds over couples getting married (the graveyard for any loving couples) on Valentine's Day.. That's a good choice that they choose to celebrate Chinese New Year with their family.. So stupid lah, i mean for the ones getting married at this event.. Sure you have to wait for so many people to get your turn to register and.. What is the special thing of getting married on the day so many people is getting married? Duh~

To prove to you guys that Chinese New Year > Valentine's Day as i have mentioned during my earlier post, I have done a very small and non-effort the so called research.. The result is: 12 people voted for Chinese New Year, instead there are only 4 people voting for Valentine's Day... So, Chinese New Year is beating down Valentine's Day! Hooray for the single people...

I'm not trying to be mean here... But just think about it (for the people in a relationship).. Aren't you having "Valentine's Day" everyday in your life? Valentine's Day doesn't really matter to you but family does.. Care about your family members more than your partners... I hate those of my friends who ignore their family and friends when they have a boyfriend or whatsoever lesbian or what... When they are about to break up, they are crying in front of you and blah blah.. Think about what have you done for the people around you, you are not living in a world that consist of you and your partner only, dumb.. And also those friends who act sweet in front of me.. You should really care about how i think cause i'm single and.. DUN KEK ME... Know you very 'bahagia'.. And think about those people who their boyfriends have left this world, they are not happy at all during Valentine's Day.. So you should really consider stop acting sweet in front of them.. and me! ..If you are reading this! Joking, don't be scared... Unless you think that i'm saying you.. haha! In my opinion right, all guys are just trying to find a girl to accompany them cause they feel lonely and their hormone is growing crazy.. Don't be stupid and think that they love you.. Remember, we are just 19.. Stop thinking about marriage or forever love.. Duh... Okay, i should really stop it here, I will be writing non-stop...

My aunty don't know how to use this toothpicks' case.. While she's studying how to use it, i suddenly think that it's cute..

I go like: Hey daddy, these few old pictures are selling one hundred something per picture leh! So expensive, confirm no one would spend their money like that...
Suddenly a stranger's voice goes like: These are antiques! (It's my aunty's husband! So embarrassing!)
To cover up my 'sia soi-ness', i replied: Oh really? No wonder people offer high prices for them! really nice eh..

After visiting my aunty's house.. We're going to CI YUN to 'pay a visit' to my dearest aunty (I miss her really really much!), grandma, granpa, uncle... I miss there a lot.. That was a place for us to obtain our knowledge about Buddhism and all the sweet memories there suddenly rushing through my mind at that moment when i stepped in.. I miss the laughter, performance and the teachers there.. I miss Soon Ying, Jin Jin, Siaw Chian and Kevin them... And i also thought of... How Kevin is living at the other world...

The BEST Reunion Dinner I Ever had =)

I am so happy that I have a "Chinese New Year feel" for this year.. Erm, how to say.. Maybe my parents did spend out most of their times for us.. And we're eating together this year.. And I'm having a lot of fun cleaning and decorating the house with my brother though it's a tiring process.. And... so many AND cause it's an unexplainable feeling.. I just feel excited about this Chinese New Year.. I don't know why...

Now, I will provide you with some guides of how to cook spaghetti.. It's the first time for me and my brother to cook it.. So, it does consume quite some time for us..

First, you may need some mince meat, chicken stock, Prego Pasta sauce, an egg, hot dogs, big onions, Spaghetti (of course).. There are still some more ingredients that i forget to take picture of... (see, I definitely have the chef look.. eh hem)

Last but not least, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil (like me, extra virgin) aka EVOO...

To have a delicious spaghetti, you must first make the meatballs as delicious as possible.. (Tip: adding corn flour, black pepper, an egg, and some salt to the mince meat)
And also the EVOO to make it smooth...
Then, get ready to get your hand super oily and dirty that make you desperate to wash it but you can't after all! (notice: that's my brother's fatty hand)
Then, you will have to boil them but just boil them until 50:50 otherwise they cannot absorb the super yummy Prego sauce at the end of the making of sppaghetti!
After that, cook your spaghetti and spread them like the picture below:
You can chop the small onions and fried it to be put on top of the spaghetti to make it smells good.. CHOP CHOP CHOP!
This is a demonstration of how you can cook both ingredients at the same time.. Caution: Professional cooking style, Do not do it for anyone at anytime and anywhere...
After the spaghetti is fully cooked, rinse it with cold water immediately to make it super 'Q'..
Then, fried the hot dogs and big onions together and mix it with the cooked pasta sauce and meatballs until you get something like the following picture, or else you can throw them to the rubbish bin...
Testing time... OMG! So damn tasty! Not bluffing.. You guys should follow my recipe! Trust me~

After cooking the spaghetti, I was going through my first car washing experience... I'm such a bad daughter... I already started to drive after Form 5 and today is the first time i wash my own car... Sure my car hates me very much.. Dear car, I decided to wash you cause i'm going 19 this year and i don't want to be laughed by my friend cause I don't know how to clean you.. Don't be too happy!

I washed it until amazingly CLEAN...In a perfect condition to be driving out during CNY... Confirm...

Besides having the spaghetti, we also have a steamboat meal.. We add in some chicken stock before pouring all the ingredients in..

Cleaning the House & Buying Ingredients With My Brother

I was planning to buy all the ingredients by myself cause i expect nobody would be as free as me.. Surprisingly, my brother says that he can accompany me to buy them and he will be my driver.. So we went to Everrise at BDC after we cleaned the house together.. I was sweating a lot cause cleaning curtains is not an easy job... yeah yeah~ I'm losing my weight... *si ai bin*

After washing it, my house looks like haunted house as we always can see from the ghost movie

After all the washing, ironing and hanging.. The result is just so NICE!

So, we are going for our buying ingredients' journey after our house is so spic and span (i thought..) It was so much fun... I definitely looked like an old ah ma holding a basket and choosing for foods...

To buy Pasta sauce, Prego is always the BEST choice =)

I wanted to buy one of these.. So CUTE! but my brother said "not good to your health!" =(

I thought this thing looks super cute and when we eat right.. We will definitely feel like eating more.. BUT my brother said 'wtf? It's so disgusting okay?' DUH!
We went to buy our next day's breakfast at Taka after that... We are going to buy some bread and then toast it and eat it with mushroom soup!

We bought so many ingredients from Everrise.. I'm sure that tomorrow's 'Tuan Yuan Fan' is going to be so damn delicious~!
Finally, I have a Chicken Egg Cheese Burger for my supper.. (fei po's main characteristic: having supper that will be making us damn fat every night) It's really really delicious~!

When we were on the way going home, there were lots of traffic polices and this is how you should learn from my brother to alert the ah beng or ah lian's drivers who drive without knowing what is LAW when there is any police.. JENG!

Preparation for Chinese New Year's Reunion Dinner

Tomorrow me and my whole family will be sitting together to eat at the dining table.. So excited about it as i always eat alone there and 'dining table' are two very lonely words for me.. My mum told me that she might be busying over her work and i was really upset.. As i am Devy, i am so going to buy all the ingredients needed for steamboat, spaghetti and mushroom soup.. perhaps? ALONE... Since no one is free in this family except me.. I shouldn't complaint over here.. I SHOULD really do this.. Who knows i might be the Chef of my family huh? I think they wouldn't disappoint me cause everything is done for their dinner right? These are what they are going to be seen on the dining table (phewit! not as delicious as these of course):
As every girl usually does... Chinese New Year is just an event or excuse for them to shop for more clothes and masks to make them look super 'leng lui' on CNY but becoming 'fei po' again after CNY... So do I... Okay, i admit it... I bought several masks from variety of brands to see which brand makes my face smoother, fairer and.. make me feel alive? I will recommend to you from all the masks below after i become the 'hamster of the experiment' and i will also stick to that brand of course:

Accompany My Friend to Study

I went to Bing at Padungan branch on the next day after the Wow Book roadshow was finished with Suk Yee, Yvonne and Lesley.. We accompany Suk Yee to study for her Accounting.. I also get the chance to receive my salary.. I get RM200 something for the week.. Yay..? haha.. The MAIN purpose should be teaching her Accounting but we all ended up playing with the crazy photos shooting.. erm... Actually it's expected... haha.. We've done a lot of crazy stuffs... Finding A Holiday Job To Spend My Boring Holiday

Swinburnians are having a long period holiday FINALLY... I am so happy that I can finally relax myself after finishing so many stressful exams and assignments... But then I suddenly feel very boring and it's impossible for me to shopping everyday right? My mum would kill me off.. So, i decided to find a job for myself... And.. i finally worked at Mal's shop for only 3 days... A horrified experience, so just skip it.. 'HAHA'... After i quiting the job, Cindi is asking me to go to work as WOW book promoter for only 7 days.. My brother said "it's better for you to work for a roadshow as when you feel like quiting, it already comes to an end".. I was like.. wtf...? But what he said is true also.. haha.. So i worked as one of the Wow Book promoters at The Spring for 7 days.. I didn't expect it to be so fun... I dun feel like im working, it's like playing everyday with Cindi, the supervisor and all the bosses.. We all get so crazy.. Then the clowns for the events there, meeting with Kenny Sia (my favourite blogger), making new friends... All these things make my working experience so so fun and unforgettable.. And... Amazingly, you'll get really really satisfied and contented when you sold out a book.. Not bluffing at all.. It's not the commissions that matter.. It's the contenting feeling and doing charity that make me feel like... 'I am so going to PROMOTE it to everyone'.. haha.. Actually there are still a lot of photos taken..
